Recommend me a case

SniperDan

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a case for my new build. Not a massive case guy, so not to sure whats out there to fit my needs:

-Full atx support

-Either black or black with red highlights (think h440)

-Work with both air and water cooling, this system will be run just off of air for the first few months till I can re save up for water cooling

-Minimalistic design (e.g not something like a phantom)

-Be <~£80

Thanks in advance for any help :)

The fractal design define R5 is a good one, as is the NZXT S340 and H440. The Be quiet! silent base 800 is a little over budget as well, and there's also the fractal design arc midi R2, Thermaltake core V51 and Coolermaster CM690iii

I'm just going to leave it as a list of decent manufacturers in your price range. Aesthetics are so subjective that it's pointless me suggesting beyond that.

(Eg, I personally hate the Define R5 -- I just see a boring black box -- but tonnes of people absolutely love it). It also depends on things like: do you need 5.25" bays? Even if you don't have an optical drive you are looking at water cooling and you might (I don't know) be interested in a bay reservoir. So yeah, I'm not going to suggest a specific case, but I suggest you look at some of the cases linked above and decide an aesthetic.

Is the Enthoo Pro considered among the best of the best for a strictly air cooled build? I kind of miss having a full tower that's easy to work in. The case I currently use I just bought because it was super cheap (Antec GX500 for $25). My CPU is pretty cool on the stock cooler and my GPU doesn't seem to be thermally limited, so I'm not watercooling that either.

The best goes to Silverstone, with ft05, rv05, ft02, rv02, ft04, rv04, and others.

Wow, the RV02 looks pretty interesting. Ugly as hell, but pretty cool design to flip everything so that hot air from your GPU isn't sent right up into the CPU.

The ft02 is the same but more pretty. Ft05 and rv05 are newwer smaller versions with the same flip
