Probably this isn't the right place for this thread

Hi guys, Vegas Pro 12.0 is giving me problems.

When i'm trying to open video that i recorded in Dxtory with codec "OpenEncodeVFW Encoder using AMD APP/VCE" i get this "Warning: An error occurred while opening one or more files, An Error occurred while opening Codec"

Now how to fix that?

Vegas Pro 12.0 that i'm using it's original but i'm sharing it with my buddy. (Could that be causing that issue?)

Sorry for my Bad english. :)

THANKSSSSS :)

-snip-

Record with a different codec or convert the files (the former one is highly advised)

Use a different codec or something. And for file format, I found that MP4 seems to work the best for me.

recording with dirffrent codec is out of the options. How to Convert the files?

Not good with converting stuff..

You could import to Movie Maker, render with custom settings (with some high bitrate, 60fps, etc.) and try importing to Vegas again

Yeah, doesn't matter if it's AVI or not if the codec is some weird thing..

Try what I said above or else just record with a different codec

Do you maybe know some good codecs?

I have to end up with decent quality and Low MB, example 720p 30FPS 15 minutes 800MB :)

What codecs are available in DXTory? And can you not just change some other settings, like bitrate, res and fps?

yes i can change that but why should i?

I like these settings

never used it, maybe you can Google some good settings or whatever.

just something with decent bitrate (around 10 is fine if for YouTube) and 720p and 30fps.

Vegas don't support h264 format, you need to encode it to other format first before importing.
