So, my sub was buzzing, so i got a ground loop isolater as @ShearMe recomended.

It fixed the buzzing (well made it really quiet)

But then a few hours later it stoped working and the sub made no sound.

I removed it, and just had sub directly to receiver.

Now there is no buzzing whatsoever, even tho the ground loop isolator is not being used, and the sub works.

Any explanation?

Probably sending something to ground that shouldnt have. My 150w speaker system was frikkin screaming noise but I wrapped my 3.5mm cables in tinfoil and then grounded ONE of the devices to thr cable (in this case, the amp chassis)

So what should i do?

And why isnt it buzzing when it was buzzing before?

Would wrapping my cable in tin foil do anything?

the grounded tinfoil helps with noise from nearby cables (and when I had 5 monitors, cables were going friggin everywhere) and the reason is isnt buzzing now is strange. If anything has a two pole non polarized plug, try flipping it upside down

Interesting....

I might want to send my ground loop isolator back, as the problem is gone, and the ground loop isolator made the sub not work (might work now, but no buzzing without it so...)

It was cheap, right? Could be a useful troubleshooting tool in the future.
