680 vs 960

Hello!

 

I have been so lucky to win a KFA2 GeForce GTX 960 EX OC

 

So therefor I was wondering whether it was worth replacing my Point of View 680 with it, or if I should sell it and save up for something beefier, like a 970/980.

You could try using it as a dedicated PhysX card, If the games you play uses 2gb of Vram or less it doesnt make much sense, But if you use more than 2gb of Vram it is better to sell both and get a R9 290x or a GTX 970.

Why would you consider that. If you dont use fhysx. It is useless.

Not worth it... just a ton of additional heat and power usage.

If I have the money to go with a 980 would that be worth? Or should I just stick with a 970?

680 is theoretically more powerful but driver support is not as good. 960 may work better in newer games.

Having a PhysX card would be a massive waste of a 960, as OP said before, sell both and get a 970.

That is a huge waste of money right there, he could easily sell that 680 for like 100-150$. The 960 for even more.
