Time for an upgrade!

Hello everyone, as you can see from my PC specs, my system is getting older and I am starting to have a lot of troubles with my system. I've tried many fixes for my problem but none of them are working and my last resort is to just re-install windows, which is not something I want to do unless I am upgrading. I really still enjoy my graphics card and it performs very well for me still. All I am looking to upgrade is my CPU and Motherboard. Because I might just pick up a used 7950 to pair with the one I have now. But that aside. I am requesting help on what to get. I play a lot of AAA Titles and play on a 1080p monitor in which the near future i might want to upgrade to 4k. I dont do much video editing, but i do crack open Photoshop and do a lot of multitasking. 

        I am do not want to go AMD because that company is turning into a ****Hole and havent released crap since the 6100. So intel options only please, my budget is no more than 400$, Also, i am not completely against going used or a last gen processor, so leave those too.

if you want to OC,then this

 

an i5 4690k and a z97 mobo along with either a hyper 212 evo 

 

or z97 board + the new i5 5675c.it will be avaible in 2 or 3 weeks but it will cost more than a regular unlocked i5

 

but to be realistic a locked i5 4460+b85/h97 board is very good for gaming.oc is more like a hobby nowadays

I don't see any reason to go with "Broadwell" if the they are charging a large price difference compared to "Devil's Canyon," for such a small CPU gain. OP won't be using the iGPU -- which is one of the more discussed topic with the "Broadwell" microprocessors.

You've got a nice water cooler, make use of it and get a CPU that is capable of overclocking; hence, i5-4690K, and a Z97 motherboard of your liking in your price range.
