  1. I agree, I intentionally purchased a higher end motherboard to better support zen 2 if and when I upgrade. I figured what I have now can more than suffice for the time being.
  2. Hey all, I recently got back into the pc game a couple of months ago, and I built my 2nd complete rig. Specs are updated in profile, but I originally had a ryzen 5 2600 and a gtx 1070 and I loved it. But I managed to get an insane deal on a titan X Pascal for under $350, and it performs fantastic. Am I bottlenecking this gpu with my current cpu? If so, how much? What tier processor would you recommend to get the most out of my titan? Thanks
  3. THANK YOU, I was using the ^ to use exponets. Thank you.
  4. Hello, I have a really simple problem im looking to solve, but am having the darnedest time figuring out. The problem is this: The method 'energy' should evaluate the formula E = mc^2, where the variables 'm' and 'c' are passed in as parameters and E (energy) is the return value. The solution parameter is listed as : def energy(m, c): return Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Hey! I'm looking to get into another pair of headphones! I currently own a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50xs and some nice ear phones. However, I've been wanting a pair of open back headphones for quite some time now since I've been into quality audio equipment. I'm looking at the Sennheiser HD600 and 650s currently as I can get them for less the 250. What are your thoughts on them? I've always loved Audi Technicas products but I've heard too many good things about the Sennheisers. Please leave any other suggestions as well! Also, I am not against buying used! Budget is less than 300. Thanks!
  6. Hello, I am currently using a OnePlus 3 and I absolutely love the phone. It's extremely beat up and the camera went to hell but it's by far the best phone I've ever had. I really like the 5t and reviewers seem to as well. Is it worth the upgrade from the 3? Thanks!
  7. Back in 6th grade, I decided to build myself my first PC. I picked up an FX-6100 and a Radeon 7950. I was on a child's budget and at the time, it was the best option I felt there was. Since then, I picked up a "broken" GTX 970 for $20, and just purchased an Asus PB287Q 4K monitor because I do frequent productivity work. I play games a little more than occasionally, and I knew going in that I wasn't going to be able to play demanding games at 4k. I had to do some pretty extensive overclocking on the FX processor to even run games like Skyrim at 1080p on high at above 50fps. I know the 6100 is holding the 970 back, but how much so? The new Ryzen 7 processors intrigue me due to their thread count which would definitely help me in editing and CAD work. In terms of strictly gaming, how much performance can I expect to gain from upgrading to a Ryzen 5 1600x, or an Intel i5 7600k? Thanks!
  8. Heres some background. I just purchased myself a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones, they sound absolutely fantastic. But I have a Dilemma. I plug these Bad boys into my computer either by using the headphone jack on my Logitech z506 speakers, or by the front USB. They get plenty loud, but there is noticeable noise at low volumes or when nothing is playing. I figured its just the crappy sound processor on my motherboard, so I need a solution. I am not in need of an amp for these because they get plenty loud already, but I need something to put on my desk to plug these things into since my PC is tucked underneath my desk. I am not looking to spend a bunch of money, I just want to get rid of the noise and maybe get a minor sound quality increase. The Behringer UM2 Audio interface looks like it may be what I need, but I am not sure. Feel free to leave any other suggestions. Thanks lads, Joey
  9. Hey guys, I am looking to invest in a solid pair of headphones for music and using on the PC. This post is not to help me with what headphone to choose, but what I need to power them. The headphones I am considering are the Audio Technica ATH-m50x and the Sennheiser HD 598's. So, I know these arent the most powerful headphones in terms of impedance, but I need something to put on my desk to carry the audio signal. I could just buy an Audio pass through but I would rather purchase something that would make my headphones sound much better. I am deathly confused on what to buy. I am not sure if you buy a DAC and AMP, or only one of them, or even a combo, I have no idea. All I want to do is plug in headphones and control them, and nothing else. I would appreciate help on what I need. In terms of budget, I also am clueless as to what gives the most bang for the buck, feel free to leave suggestions. Thanks Lads, Alistair
  10. Hey guys, I am currently running a single Radeon 7950, and a amd fx 6100 @ 4.7ghz. My plan is to add a 2nd 7950 to my build. Will it bottleneck 2 7950's in games like BF4 and GTA V. Thanks!
  11. Hello, I currently have a Radeon 7950, and I want to upgrade. I am planning to get a 4k monitor also. So i need help deciding either to purchase another 7950, or get something else. I'd like to buy used. Reccomend something that can play games at medium or more settings at 4k. Thanks
  12. You are completely Right about my GPU being underpowered. I play a lot of L4D2, which I am pretty sure I can run at 4k, but my GPU is going to be my next upgrade. Thanks!
  13. Hello, I am currently in a situation in which I am going to buy a 4k display. I am pretty sure the my Radeon 7950 only has HDMI 1.4, so it cannot display 4k @60hz, but, my GPU has 2 mini display port connectors which do support 4k @ 60hz, almost all 4k monitors come with displayports on them, but I am also looking at some 4k TV's in which most do not. The 4k TV's I am looking at come with HDMI 2.0 though. So my question is, If I buy a mini displayport to HDMI adapter, will I be able to get 4k @ 60hz, Thanks!
  14. I am in a predicament in which I can buy a used i7 4820k for $229.99, which is the same price as the i5 4690k new. I know the 4820k is a generation behind, but I do not want to upgrade to DDR4 Ram in which the x99 uses, which would put me over budget. Thanks
