[UK] 4K Viewsonic Monitor £179.99

Eniqmatic

LIterally just came up on eBuyer, don't complain about the quality or whatever, it's not going to be fantastic at this point is it:

http://www.ebuyer.com/703884-viewsonic-vx2880ml-28-ultra-hd-multimedia-monitor-vx2880ml

£179.99 is crazy for a 4K panel, to the point where I'm actually wondering if its a mistake. Only supports 30hz at 4K but 60hz at 1440p, so may even be worth it there?

Bezels are hideous though.

30hz, and probably not good enough quality for photo/video editors, so really not sure of the point

I'll pass on 30hz. I find it annoying enough to use a 60hz monitor, 30 will kill me.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

They are only 120hz in that they use software and backlight tricks boost the native refresh rate

the signal and panel is still only 30 or 60hz

Plz can someone tell me if you can over clock it to 60Hz

it has display port 1.2 which should achieve 60hz at 4k, so i think this is probably a limitation with the monitors processing, so probably not.

30hz  4K?  Either way I would just buy it to be a 1440p monitor.

Supports 2560 x 1440 Resolution @ 60Hz

For the price u cant really complain when for the same u can get 1080p IPS. This would be good for someone who needs the massive workspace and has no money to spend.

Korean monitors come out of the box at 60Hz 1440p yet most can reach 120Hz+ and if not at least 100Hz.

From that logic, maybe we can get it to 50Hz or 60Hz.

50Hz would be fine for 4k gaming considering how hard it is to hit 60fps 4k with nowadays hardware.
