Hey guys, I am planning on building my first gaming pc this summer.  I want to get some feedback on this build.  Thanks.

I have two different options that are very similar.

Build 1

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HqzDVn

Build 2

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cXZVP6

Could you guys also explain the difference between a Z97 Motherboard and an H97.  Thanks

All you really need to know is Z97 can overclock and has a few extra features. You'' need a K series chip if you want to overclock.

if your not getting a k cpu then no need for a z97. also is 250gb enough for? gta v alone is 80gb. also i would recommend going the extra mile and getting a 970. you wont regret it

Main PC |CPU - i7-6700k|GPU - R9 290x tri-x 4gb|RAM - 16gb ddr4|MOBO - MSI z170 - A PRO|HDD - WD 1TB/240gb Sandisk |PSU - 700w Raidmax

Laptop |CPU - i7 4720hq|GPU - 960m 2gb|Ram - 8gb 2x4|Model - y50-70 Touch|SSD - 240gb Patriot drive|Display - 1920x1080 IPS touch

as they have said z97 is mainly for overclocking and h97 is for just usability if you don't use a k series of chip (unlocked) then z97 is useless. so if you want a z97 with over clocking and intel core i7 go with a 4770k or a 4790k. otherwise z97 is not worth it.

Just picked a couple different parts, if you can I'd get some liquid cooling on your CPU, as you wanna keep your temps down in the summer.

I'd hold off on the SSD and buy a GTX 970 instead of the 960 in Build #1. The 960 isn't bad but the 970 is really awesome for 1080p, you can turn settings way up and still get 60 fps.

SSD doesn't give you any more frames per second. I'd rather have the better GPU that makes a difference 100% of the time when I'm playing GTA V vs having the SSD that reduces the one time load of the game when I first launch it from 40 seconds to 20 seconds.

This is the build I'd recommend for the same price.
