You don't need to format the usb drive or anything from what I remember. Just wipe it and put on the ISO.

https://wudt.codeplex.com/  Here's the ISO

Main PC: 4690k, LMG Edition G1 Gaming GTX 980, 16GB Hyper X Fury, Asus Z97-A, EVGA G2 850W, Crucial MX100 128GB, WD Red 1TB 2.5", Dark Rock 3

Laptop: Asus UX305 Monitor: Asus PB278Q Keyboard: Filco Majestouch 2 TKL Mouse: Corsair M65

Download the ISO from microsoft's website (it's on there somewhere I've seen it before) and then use a tool such as the one mentioned above by other people to mount the ISO.

(I personally prefer PowerISO)

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

So find somewhere to download the correct ISO from, then write it to the USB drive using something like Rufus: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

oh. it isnt any different than installing an os on my raspberry pi. (i have a lot of practice  setting up bootable usb sticks and sd cards for it so windows wouldnt be too difficult)

Nope. It's the same for pretty much every OS.

You just go into the bios and select the usb drive as boot drive. Boot into it, and you're set. :D
