does it matter if i go with an old odd?

i had to cut my budget a bit so im wondering if using an old sata ODD would make a difference? (going to use it to install drivers, windows and games,)

No... Why would it? As long as it has the modern connectors it'll work.

Nope. But i would recommend downloading the drivers from the likes of Intel and from your mobo manufacturer website; those driver install discs never install them correctly and use outdated drivers. Or at least from what i've experienced.

so you are saying that it dosent matter. (and cant i install driver cd and update the drivers later?
