It would probably be best, and it won't only help out with gaming performance but multi tasking in general. However you won't see massive gains in frame rates or anything but from personal experience it's always best to have 8gigs rather than 4gigs if you got the money.

Hello, when I play games like cs go or league on my laptop my ram goes up to around 3 gbs when I only have 3.5 gbs available. I was wondering if you guys think it would be useful to upgrade to 8 gbs of ram since I already play on lowest settings and still get some lag. my laptop is the Asus k55n, what do you guys think?

Do you have a 64 bit OS?

3,5 GB usable sounds like you have physicaly 4 GB of RAM, but because of the 32 bit OS you can only use 3.5 GB....
