Whats compatable?

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

so you mean any R9 270 from any company?

Yep. MSI, Gigabyte, Asus, etc.

First let me tell you, I dont know the most about graphics cards, so just please bear with me...

So I have a Gigabyte Radeon R9 270 and I'm trying to find out what cards are able to Crossfire with it. I know it needs to be the same company chipse - amd, but would it not work if the companies were different (gigabyte)? I know the company usually means the cooler on it, and i know that the stats need to be almsot excact, but i was just wondering...

Also, if the cooler doesnt matter, then doesnt that mean you can mix and match lots of cards aslong as the chipset (and Vram) stats are the same?

Thanks lots!
