I'm thinking about to buy the the plain Zotac 970 4GB.

How is the cooling on it?

I'm thinking to use it in a Cooler Master Elite 110. It will be placed so it pulls air from outside of the case. Will it have okay temps?

It should. Zotac makes good products and most aftermarket coolers are as good as or better than reference cards.

It has good reception as far as I can tell.

I know. My friend tried to use 4 GB on gta v and it stuttered so bad he couldn't play it.
