I check MSI's website periodically to see if they have new bios or driver updates and today I noticed that there's a new BIOS out for my board. Looking at the description, however, I noticed that it says "Fixed Realtek lan still can work after disable "Onboard LAN Controller" in BIOS." This board comes with Killer Networking's E2205 nic so I'm a little weary if I should even upgrade. What do you guys think- Yolo, or to try contacting MSI before they get too many complaints of bricked boards?

update everything :) there are always improvements that are made (even if they maybe small)

I'd say the opposite in the terms of BIOSes. If it's not got a fix/improvement for something you have a problem with, don't bother.

If everything is working, then updating BIOS isn't necessary. The fix you are curious about is all about the chipset LAN chip versus 3rd party one. Its just fixing bug which would have caused Realtek LAN staying on while being disabled in BIOS. If you have that bug, then maybe you should update.

The process itself can be intimidating with all the wait and reboots. So if you are scared and impatient type, don't do it.
