Hello, I'm going to build a computer soon and I've read a lot about building computers and watched and learned a lot about building computers, I'm pretty confident that I can build it, but at the same time I still have that feeling that I'm going to fuck something up really badly, and I'm pretty nervous because I'm going all out on my build and I'm going to spend a lot of money on this computer and I don't want to spend all this money just for me mess up. If there is anything you can help me with such as suggesting video's I should watch, reading about building, ANYTHING at I should know before I build my computer that would be great Thank you!  :)  :D

Note : I have the materials and a open workstation that is static free and I have anti static wrist strap.

I have dual 980ti's just got them yesterday and let me tell you they are great card but a single 1 on 1440p witcher 3 gets only 65-70 fps and that's 1440p....so it can't handle 4k only on low to medium setting. Lastly 4k is not for gaming 4k is productivity so there is no point getting 4k for gaming.

My jaw dropped in unison with my scroll wheel as I read through those specs. I am now changing my pants.

That system will be a blast to game on, enjoy!

Are you planning on putting the two 4TB HDDs in Raid 0/1? Oh and don't forget installation media for that OS, didn't see any mention in your post about that so thought I'd mention it.

You don't need a 5960X for gaming it is super overkill.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

yeah, you were like everyone. when you build it, you will notice that it is a breeze x]. Only thing I would say is to touch the metal frame of the case whenever you're about to touch important items like the cpu/gpu etc.

here's the videos that helped me a lot

Make sure you are super relaxed before putting the CPU in the socket my buddy bent the pins on his mobo his first time because he was shaking like a leaf.

Wow? Really, it's actually hard to break the pins to be honest, as long as you have a basic idea of what you're doing.

Pretty much what every is saying. Relax, don't rush, even if it takes you 2 hours it's fine. Don't forget the 8-pin CPU connector like I did on my older sisters build lol

His hand was shaking so much the CPU was probably moving back and forth a full centimeter and going up and down the slightest amount when he went to put it down his hand quivered to the side and dropped down enough to have the corner of the CPU come down and hit the pins.

Unlucky! The moment of truth as he looked to see if the pins bent....

Worse than turning over a dropped phone!

Yo, give us your build log, we'll make sure it looks good.

Be sure to give yourself at least 2+ hours before you get started. My first build (and only so far) took me 2.5 hours on hardware alone. Also, don't get pissed if you fuck up. Else you'll fuck up more and then it'll lead into this big cycle of getting pissed and fucking up. Calm down, take your time, consult us here on the forums should something go wrong. Be sure to use an electro-static wrist strap so that you don't fry any components. Be sure to buy your parts at once, so that nothing new comes along at the time of buying, and if something is dead once you open the box, you'll have time to return it.

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

What do you mean by build log ? I have my computer parts listed on the page if that's what you mean?
