Fallout 3 worth it?

Go to solution Solved by Nexxus,

I have over 400 hours in this between the PC and xb360 versions...ya id say its worth it...DLC I say yes but I love the base game and can easily spend over 100 hours in that alone.

Fallout 3 is currently 5 euro on steam, is it worth getting? I've heard it is somewhat like Oblivion, but with guns, and I have only played Skyrim.

If the game is worth getting, how about the GOTY edition (with dlc?)

CPU: I7 4790K(4.6@1.252v)                               Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed(Black)           Cooler: CM 212 EVO + NF F12 iPPC

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger                      Graphics: MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr (1494MHZ Core)       OS: Windows 10 Enterprise

What is exactly added with the DLCs? I found for Skyrim, the Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLCs were awesome, while hearthfire was... meh. Is the DLC as awesome as in Skyrim? Does it add alot?

I unfortunately haven't played skyrim, I wanna get though new vegas 1st but every time I mod it I break it lol.

The majority of it addes new locations with new questions new weapons and NPCs/enemies I also did the DLC after finishing the main quest, I recall feeling like a big fish in a small pond, I could just steamroll anything that crossed me, but going into the DLC worlds it suddenly became much more difficult to stay alive.
