SOLD 970 - what now?

sold my 970 strix for 315 to a friend and now have about 470-490 € (Germany) to spend on a new card. 
I have the gtx 660 wich my buddy doesn't need at the moment and I can use it until I have a new card so it doesn't really hurry. 
I can get a 980 evga sc acx 2.0 for 400-410€ used and others, reference for example, for 420-430€ used.

What would you do? I am pulled towards nvidia but i would go with an amd from the upcoming lineup if it is any good and in my budget (given it is faster than a 970 strix at over 1500 coreclock.)

I am using mITX so NO SLI AND NO CROSSFIRE.
1440p Gaming n stuff (gta v, bf4, random games and casual editing)

The new AMD 'Fury' is suppose to be expensive at ~$800, The 980 sounds good but if I were you, I would save a bit for a new GTX 980ti. If you need a GPU right now go with 980 but I think the 600 series is still good and can last you enough time until you save up.

Either go with 980 or I would recommend saving up some more and getting 980ti.

I will do that and see if there ia a cheap solution and if the nvidia cards go down in price any more.  If both does't happen i will still have an eye on the 980s i asked one guy if he wants to sell hisb980 sc acx 2.0 for 390 because there was a warning from ebay that he may be a problematic person

I would wait for 300 series and maybe Fury.

Fury is way out of price range. Even the 390 will likely be out of range.

Grab the 980 or save up for a 980 ti.

Fury is out of the question...... won't be good anyways. 390x is a 290x enhanced.... Pfft.... rebrand.... yet again.
