After the dissapointing HyperX 3K (that sucks) I tought that I might upgrade my SSD (and getting a WD Black 2TB instead of my Seagate ST1500).

Now, I first looked at the 850 Evo 500GB but now I saw the freakin' epic HyperX Predator (240GB)!! That thing is stupidly fast, I mean, seriously. Eventually I'd RAID with another one (both the 850 Evo and the Predator)

Any suggestion?  (Ah, also I'm upgrading to an ASUS PB287Q 'coz 4K).

Unfortunally my MoBo (the Z77 Extreme 4) doesn't have an M.2 slot so for the Predator I'll need the PCIe adapter.

I'd prefer a fast SSD that promises declared speeds, sooooo, what SSD should I buy?

Help pL0xx11!!

Samsung also make an equivelant M.2 drive , the XP941 - which has better write speed - but you would need a PCI-E adapter card like the Predator comes with.

If you're upgrading to a 4K though, you might be best to focus on your graphics if you dont already have a couple of 980's or higher.

SATA3 SSD's in RAID0 will give you similar performance to a single M.2 drive - but personally in my system, the storage speed is the least of my concerns for gaming. My system is constrained by the CPU, followed by the GPU's. For the huge cost of upgrading to M.2, you'll only be gaining a few seconds difference on a handful of games for load times.

If you don't have an SSD already, then i'd go for the largest of the main brand SSD's you can afford.

Samsung Evo/Pro, Intel 730, OCZ Vector 180, Kingston Now!, Crucial MX100 etc....
