Starting an HTPC build for my girlfriend.

She doesn't want to buy the new Xbox, but wants to run all the latest games at better quality. I suggested an HTPC and using an Xbox Controller with Steam picture.

This is also going to be where I show her how to build a computer.

So far this is the part list I'm thinking about getting her. I'm getting a GTX 680 SC+ from a friend for $300, so it's why there is no graphics card. This is "future proofing" so that I, or she, won't have to do anything for a least a few years. If she has to replace anything it'll probably be the GPU, or the HDD / CPU / MB if any of them break.

Only problem with this is I don't think I can fit a full size heatsink in there. I was told to not use the stock heatsink with the K series processors. Are there any low profile heat sinks?

Also does anyone have any low profile RAM they recommend?

Why are you getting a velociraptor though?

To have a HDD that I can load games off of.

Two seagate barracudas in raid 0 would do the job better and are quite cheap for the performance.

A few edits: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1jcM4

Seagate barracudas in raid 0*

I would personally get a cheaper psu that does the same job.
