Recently, I've noticed a really large amount of people who always want to stream, even out of my friends half of them occasionally stream and they get like 1-2 views. I see people buying $200 more expensive CPU's just to stream without it effecting the game. So my question is, why do you stream or want to stream? or why don't you?

I'd stream but my upload speed can't handle high quality streaming, and it's not a big enough desire to upgrade my internet over.

Streaming is so big now, because it's so easy, and it's officially mainstream. Playing a game? Why not stream it? I've broadcasted gameplay for friends with Steam's streaming, just to show them a game, or get help. I introduced three people to Grand Theft Auto V by using it. However, I have no desire to stream to Twitch, and I do not want to whore myself out for donations. For me, "streaming" is useful to show people games. Not just to play popular ones and hope for good luck, lots of viewers, and lots of donations.

Not letting them know the franchise exists, as much as "This is how the First-Person works." Or "This is how the game compares to the console version you played two years ago."

well I guess because it's easier to setup

there are huge different though if you expecting for revenue

most streamers who make it daily are joined a stream network partner, just like youtube.

and most of them are streamer who makes streaming their jobs, not just for fun.
