This is about 1000€/$ (+/- 10), I will be ordering from a German site http://mindfactory.de.

2. Other info:

- I have 1 1080p monitor, but because im going to use this build for 4+ years, I might get 1440p by that time.

- I will be using this build for school and gaming

- I have all peripherals

- I have a copy Windows

That r9 290x is cheaper then that 970, so if I go with the 290x, I can use that saved few bucks to get another 2 fans.

Asus r9 290x matrix platinum is a choice aswell (it costs the same as evga gtx 970 ssc).

Thx for helping!

Thats a really solid build all around...

Don't get the matrix platinum though, it doesn't cool the GPU's VRMs very well; if you want a 290x get a sapphire vapor-x or tri-x IMO.  XFX also makes good stuff for AMD cards.

Want a good game to play?  Check out Shadowrun: http://store.steampowered.com/app/300550/ (runs on literally any hardware)

another 12 core / 24 thread senpai...     (/. _ .)/     \(. _ .\)

Yea, like I wrote, first option is evga gtx 970 ssc, the second is sapphire r9 290x tri-x. 290x Matrix just looks cool.

I would go with the 970, it's very good and performs better than the 290 at 1080p.

I agree, like I said, the first card in the line-up is evga's 970 ssc, the second is sapphire's 290x tri-x.

Good build, go with the 970

Yup, 970 it is... but the 290x is a great card aswell, it just performs worser at 1080p.

1080p (I mentioned a 1080p monitor in the topic)

Not better than a 290X though.

sorry lol

If 1080p then 970 for sure.  290x is sometimes better than 970 (even close to 980 in some cases) at resolutions like 1440p / 4k

True, and since I won't have a 1440p/4k monitor any soon, I am going with the 970.

Very good all around. If you go with a 970 you won't need a 650W PSU, but it doesn't really matter.

Thx, it's never a bad thing to have more headroom for OC'ing
