Wireless mouse/pointer/remote/smartphone app for NUC

D3LTA9

Hi everyone,

Just built a intel NUC box for my Dad to essentially stream media via websites (worldgolfpass.com specifically) on one of the TV's in his house. I am looking at input options. Initially I was just going to grab him a all in one keyboard and trackpad but he would really prefer a remote and I think he would be able to deal with it a little easier (has nearly no computer literacy).

So it got me thinking that something like the smart remote that came with my 4K LG tv would be perfect. All it needs to be able to do is move the cursor on a windows box  and open a browser window then press play.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? Would I be best to look at a presenter type thing used for controlling power point presentations, but do some of them offer actual pointer control?

Another option I was considering was maybe a smartphone app that would do a similar thing - has to be apple as he has an iPhone 5.

Thanks for any input!
