Need $100-$150 GPU for gaming

Go to solution Solved by Landmyne1,

OK, I bought a Corsair CX500 and a Gigabyte R9 270 with Windforce. I will Overclock it

Hello, I am looking for the best Graphics card for the price of $100-$150 to run Grand Theft Auto 5 on at least Normal to High settings at at least 50-60 fps and other games like BeamNG.drive on full settings with a playable FPS. An overclocked GPU would be great as long as i can control the temperature well enough. I recently purchased this computer as a start to build off of. I have done some upgrades in the mean time. I would prefer a GPU with at least an HDMI and VGA Connector. Rear exhaust would also be nice to keep internal temps lower but i am okay if i can not get rear exhaust.

Here are my current specs:

CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 Dual Core @3.10Ghz

CPU Cooler: STock Dell  inspiron cpu cooler with extra fan on top of original (CPU temps are not high so a better cooler is not necessary yet)

Motherboard:Stock dell Inspiron 620 Desktop Motherboard

RAM: 4gb of DDR3 RAM (not sure what the clock speed is.)

Storage: 1Tb HDD @7200RPM and 80Gb SSD

PSU: RAIDMAX Cobra RX-500AF-B Power Supply (i have not purchased this yet so if a PSU with more wattage is necessary i can buy one instead)

Case: Dell inspiron 620 Stock Case

I will be upgrading to the  new case (Viotek Black ATX mid tower case /w one 80mm fan and one 120mm fan Both LED Red) which i have bought already and am still looking for a GPU and PSU

Thank you for the help.

for your system you can probably get away with a 450w PSU IF and only IF you go with Nvidia cards.

AMD, while perfectly fine, need more power.

Where do you live btw?

i know many list prices in USD because it makes it easier for others to help. I do have a spare 7950 Dual-X from Sapphire, i do not remember on top of my head whether it is the OC edition or normal. That card is the "old" 280 or 280X, dont remember which.

If you live within EU then shipping it would be no problem for me, but shipping it to the US and i doubt it will survive.

Fair warning though, it has been accidentally soaked in cola DURING operation. So backside may have some stains, i kept using it for 5-8 hours a day for 2 years with a mild OC after that accident and it still works.

If you have it as a spare, are you charging anything for it? or just shipping? As long as the card is working as it should i might look into it. Can you take a picture of the stains on the card? Just to see if they are bad stains. Thank you.

I actually Bought a Gigabyte Radeon R9 270, But when i put  it in my computer it will not start. My keyboard and mouse should light up but they don't. All the fans in the computer start, even the ones on the graphics card. I don't know what to do i've tried everything.
