New CPU needed

I need a new cpu because my current cpu bottlenecks my gpu and isn't that good :(

I want at least a quad core (I prefer a hexa core) i7, for that I need a new mobo too. Do you know anything I can do for max 450 Euros? (I live in the Netherlands)

System specs:

CPU: AMD A6-5400 :(

GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 SuperClocked ACX 2.0

Mobo: Asus FM2A55-M

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2X4GB DDR3

PSU: 600W Cooler Master

Mabye you should mention if you're into overclocking or not.

Indeed you do. I suggest an i5-4690k and a Z97 board

  

A 6 core i7 is waaayyyyy overkill, assuming you're just gaming

Not a chance on Intel hexacores, since the boards are crazy expensive and you'd need to buy new DDR4 RAM. But an i5-4690k, cooler, and Z97 board could probably get done on that budget, and it's a really powerful setup and a great match for a 970.

I wanted to get a new GPU and CPU and I wanted to spend the first 375 Euro on a GPU and the rest 1 month later on the CPU...

 

Haha, I always get the same reaction when I say I ran a GTX 970 and a Pentium G3258. I only had the money for the GPU when the 970 I wanted went on sale, so I had to wait another week to order the Xeon-E3 I got to properly push it.
