There's a very important point that got left out, and nobody told the OP (or I missed it?)

 

Here's my very personal experience: my 35 ohms headphone can't get loud enough plugged to every sources I got (PC onboard, ipad, phone, etc), at max volume, while my 64 ohms headphone almost blew my eardrums out plugged straight to ipad. Strange.....
