It says here i'm using 95% of my ram . But i have 8 gigs of ram , of which only the usage of 4.3 of them are accounted for in the task manager list . What's using

the rest ? And yes , the whole 8 gigs are recognized

Windows may be caching the rest of the RAM.

-snip-

1. do you have a 64 bit OS?

2. Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System and see how much RAM is it detecting there

You are just in the user tab of taskman. Go to the processes tab and it should look a bit different.

When in doubt, re-format.

I know that , this is just the sum of the stuff there , it shows the same values combined .

Its not the same, the User tab shows processes that are running with the permissions of your user account. It does not include things running unnder different user permissions. If you go into the details tab you will see the user permissions which that program is using.

When in doubt, re-format.

yeah i said the whole 8 gigs are recognized , here's it so you can sleep better :

You didn't say what recognized the 8GB, so I kind of assumed you meant your BIOS :3

I'm still running Windows 7, so not sure if this still is in Windows 8(.1).. Maybe you can go to Task Manager and one of the tabs may show CPU and RAM usage. Under the little graphs, you see some info on the RAM too.

How much you have, how much is free and how much is caches. Can you check how much is being cached?

Probably , but i don't think it was windows using that much . I think it's GTA 5 using probably alot more than the 2.GB it showed.
