Anybody noticed a difference in performance with kepler based GPU? the latest driver is said that it ''can provide increased performance for kepler based GPU'' :

i had heard that nvidia messed up the last driver intentionaly to make maxwell look better in benchmarks...is that true? have they fixed it?

But  Nvidia intentionaly killed performance on all non Maxwell cards/s

OT: Nice! Always glad to see that these bugs are fixed.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

yeah that's why i was asking...that's what i heard too i thought it was really fucked up...like i KNOW for a fact that my 780 at the clocks that it sits at will match a GTX 970 in most situations...if it start to not meet that level of performance I and many others will notice that kind of thing really quickly...

I hope they fixed something, because it doesn't sound like they fixed the Maxwell driver crashes in Chrome from 352.86.

Heyyo,

Lol... like NVIDIA or AMD haven't fucked up driver releases in the past. :P

How about back when ATi fudged their driver to get better benchmark scores on their GPUs in Quake 3 Arena? People found that Trilinear Filtering wasn't working (back when texture filtering impacted performance btw) and was producing about the same results as Bilinear Filtering and renaming the .exe for Q3A actually made Trilinear Filtering work properly again. They claimed it was a bug too and fixed it.

Plus ever since even the ATi days? They've been quite slow to release drivers... AMD has just been dumping beta driver after beta driver as of late... was their last stable release still those Omega Drivers???

There's also times in the past when NVIDIA and ATi fudged their drivers on previous versions of 3DMark to try and edge eachother out... those were also funny times.

I dunno wtf is going on with NVIDIA's Driver quality control though... they were doing so damn good for so long... and now we get that silly ass block on GTX 900 M series overclocking and then they repeated it by accident lol and then they broke their Kelper lineup and now supposedly fixed it...

Seriously though, they need to get their shit figured out.. they've made quite a handful of blunders as of late... The last serious blunder I could think of was with the 8800 GTS that was prone to boiling hot temperatures or the time long beforehand with the FX 5000 series or the Geforce 4 MX series which were a rebranded disaster of their amazing Geforce 2 series...

I just hope they figure things out for Pascal GPUs... that's when I may upgrade from my ol' GTX 680 SLI depending on how things go with DirectX 12 too and the supposed DirectX 12.1...
