I was wondering if it is worth $40 more to get a Gtx 960 4GB. I would like 4GB, but I would like to know if it improves performance and if so, by how much. (ps I am not getting a 280x or 290 so don't suggest that because I need low power consumption lol)

Yes, 100% Yes. Especially gaming at higher resolutions or with higher details the 4GB is definitely needed.

That's mainly just because the last .5GB is slow as bawls lol

I've gone up to like 3.7GB on my 970 running skyrim maxed out at 4K (using DSR) before, framerates from what I can remember were not horrible either.

That's the most retarded benchmark I have ever seen. Why does it keep getting posted? If you're testing a 4GB card vs a 2GB one, don't test it at settings where vram usage is always way below 2GB. Crysis 3 and Metro Last Light at medium? This benchmark is way better, since it tests games at settings that can use more than 2GB.

nobody with a 960 is going to play at 4k, and even if they would they could still turn down texture details.

I don't even think the card has the power to back that 4GB. Though I guess it'd make sense for SLI setups.
