Gaming/Rendering CPU

Heey guys,

 

Im gonna build a first PC and i know AMD platform is dead at least thats what i think so is it worth it to build a AMD PC or just stick to the Inetl 1150 socket??

 

Consider im gaming but also use it for streaming and rendering.

if gaming is a significant reason for getting this PC intel. AMD isn't a viable solution right now.

For all your purposes go with intel A 4790k or 4690k is what you need

The AMD platform is NOT dead, for sure.

 

It depends on your budget, and the performance you're looking for before you ask which one is better for you.

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

It depends on your budget, and the performance you're looking for before you ask which one is better for you.

AMD's current platforms are dead. Z97 can still be upgraded with Broadwell later. AMD doesn't have an upgrade path.

AM3+ has been confirmed dead.

 

 

and fm2+ is sadly not competitive at the moment.

amd is the value sulution but definatly not dead, im using a FX-6300 and its not bad but anything above a core I5 beats the shit out of it even some I3's do :P

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
