Only a decent amount if

1. 3GB of VRAM across both GPUs isn't a limiting factor (which it is starting to be even at 1080p with the GPU power of the 590), AND

2. Game is well optimized for SLI

It's only a 1.5GB card in reality, they add it together for marketing reasons, just like the bus, it's only a 384 bit bus not 768. 1.5GB is VERY limiting, I would strongly recommend against a GTX 590.

So 3GB+3GB? It should beat the 7950 unless the game has bad SLI scaling.

There isn't a version of the 590 that has 3GB per GPU, if there was loads of people with 590's wouldn't have had to upgrade.

In pure performance the 590 is faster even with poor scaling but the 1.5GB of VRAM is an issue and basically makes 7950 the only reasonable choice. If you had two 3GB 580's on the other hand then the situation would be different. As far as how much the watercooled 7950 could be sold for you could check site listings on ebay to get a rough idea.

Yeah I said 3GB across both GPUs, so yes it's split in half due to VRAM not being combined in SLI. Like how 295X2 has 8GB across both GPUs when only 4GB is usable.
