My 3 Problems with Youtube

Youtube is fine by me for the most part except for just a few things. I'm not talking about the "change everything just for something to do" as this deserves a thread (that I won't be making) of its own. Having relatively slow internet, these things are probably not very noticeable to some of you.

 

1. Comments. Sure they're a mess, but occasionally when I want to write one of my own, I click the "Share your thoughts" text field, and then it changes to say "Opening..." for about the next twenty seconds. WTF? Why? My other smaller issue is that I can't f**king read my own comments. Seriously, go write one on a random video, then once you have little memory of doing so, go try to find it again. Unless you're going to flip through a google search a good 20 minutes, I bet you can't.

 

2. Notifications. They're a mess as well. I don't care about the other 80+ people that replied to the same comment I did. I just don't. Not to mention, unlike the comments they  take EVEN LONGER to load up. Waiting over a minute has happened before. Once again, WHY?!

 

3. Page loading. It used to be great, until something changed. When you click a video, theres a red progress bar right under the address bar. I don't know why this is. It would be fine by me if it were simply aesthetic, but it doesn't seem to be. It gets stuck in the middle and takes a good 50% longer.

 

Overall, I'd give them a solid 72.5/104 IGN.

 

The point loss comes from explicit lack of crowbars, cowbell, and decent classic rock song remixes. [/Mini-rant]

1) your issue with loading the comment box is something to do with your browser or PC because it doesnt happen to others - try other browsers

 

2) you know there are SETTINGS where you can CHANGE the notifications you get? ...............

 

3) definitely an issue with your PC, has never happened to me

 

My 1 problem with youtube is that there are too many people who don't know how to customize settings or troubleshoot their computers problems and therefore must go complain to everyone they know instead of try to fix them

What I absolutely hate is that they have removed so many customization features from channel pages...

 

I kinda wish we could go back to the good ol days for channel layouts and shit like that..

On 2, if you don't care about others' comments, then don't slick "view all x number of comments" on the comment. It'll only show the OP and the last 2 comments anyways.

 

On 3, I't just might be your internet.

Here's a solution : Log Out ... 

 

I hate loging in to leave a comment on Youtube ... waste of my time ... I usually go into You tube home page and start seraching for channels that I watch ... No problems what so ever ... 

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...

unless he has less than .2Mbps down it should not cause that problem

maybe he is on wifi or something like that and gets packet loss...

well thats what i have and he did say he has slow internet
