Questions about multiple displays

Hi everyone. I was wondering if I was to run 2 displays at the same time would I see a drop in performance while gaming, such as lower frame Rates? Sorry if this is a noob question. I just wanted to know this.

also its seldom reccomended to run gaming on 2 screens since your aim/char/whatever you are controling is likely to be on the bezel. The only game that I found it workable was EVE

if youre gaming on both screens yes

if one screen isnt doing anything then no, nothing significant

Not much maybe a few FPS as long as you aren't running the game across two screens, I use one for gaming and another for monitoring temps and peforamnce without seeing much difference. You will see maybe a slight temp difference since it is running two displays even during idle

Yes Sorry I took the question as if you were running the game on both screens, just running on one screen wont do much, playing the game on multimontiors will hurt you though.

I honestly thought that dual monitors was a good idea until i got em. My 2nd monitor is only useful when im doing school work so think twice if you wanna get another monitor

gonna have to disagree with you 100% duel monitors are useful even when gaming if you are only putting the game on one screen, as far as im concerned any enthuiest should have 2 displays.I can only think you are not utilizing things to their full potential if school work is the only time you find it handy.

Hmmm what do you usually have on the 2nd display? I have my social media, songs and that's about it.... And maybe HW monitor when im gonna break the records with OCing or smth

Well I have 3 displays, but when im gamng.

 

Skype, youube, game wikis, steam, steam guides, steam steaming to see how quality is going out, word files for various game settings for my wheel or throttle setup browser for general browsing during down times in games whatever it might be.

I also photo edit so I will run PS on one and Lightroom on the other or windows explorer just to keep track of the photos better simply because when I do a shoot I can anything from 200-1000 photos depending on the kind of event as well I will run youtube on the 3rd display as a bit of a distraction.

Makes file management easier if you were lazy at some point and need to sort things.

Thats just off the top of my head though there are a ton more uses. I pretty much always have a game on my center skype on my right and my browser on my left.
