I don't have time to read it right now. But light boost flickers the back light, so it tricks your eyes in seeing a sharper image at the expense of giving your a headache for some, CRT style (for people that had issues even with the really good CRT which was going at 120Hz+), and the same that have headaches with their monitor that uses a PWM to control the back light of the monitor.

I doubt it makes your gaming performance better. I mean it's not like you shoot at someone on the edge, on every time, because you were pointing at the motion blur and not the actual person/object. But in any case, it sure would make the gaming experience better.
