I have a G3258, 750Ti, Elite 130, and a Dell 1080p and I'm wondering what I should upgrade because eventually I'd like to turn it into a 4590, 960, ncase m1, and an ultrawide 1080p.

I only play league of legends and my setup works great for that so I'm thinking the thing I could get the most usage out of is a new monitor. It would be useful for when I go to college so I wouldnt have to bring a second monitor to view two web pages. People say they're nice to have for league too.

The GPU would basically just be for future proofing and making my build quieter because my 750ti is the loudest thing in my computer. My friend might want to buy my 750ti and if he does I would get the 960.

The CPU Upgrade would probably be the last for me because I don't need it and don't have anything to do with my g3258.

The ncase m1 is like the perfect case for me but it wouldn't really do much for me.

G3258 @ 4.5 | 8GB Team Vulcan RAM | 128GB Kingston V300 SSD (I didn't know what I was doing when I bought it) | MSI H81I Motherboard | Corsair H55 with Noctua NF-P12 | EVGA SSC GTX 960 4GB | OCZ 550W Fully Modular PSU with Noctua NF-A14 | Cooler Master Elite 130 (Soon to be something cool)

If you only play LoL, you don't need a new graphics card or cpu. If it's too loud, you can lower the fan speed with software like Msi Afterburner or do some simple mods:

A 21:9 monitor sounds like a decent upgrade.

If you ever play more demanding games just get like a 970, yes the Pentium G3258 can handle it.

Yes I know, I was referring to if he ever wanted to. I used to only play minecraft, all I would play and said I wouldnt play other games. Then Farming Sim came along. Lol also im a nvidia "fanboy" but Id never get a GTX 960, you can find 290x's for the price of some 960s

If you only play League (I'm sorry for the toxic players, bless your soul), I'd say get a new monitor, maybe something like this:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1990493&SRCCODE=WEBGOOPA&scid=scplp620706&gclid=CjwKEAjws5CrBRD8ze702_2dyjYSJAAAJK9yWOHoxob0KUb3iHi5GZ7JMttCZlb30bqic4WM8C29nBoCJHrw_wcB

For other games, I would not go beyond 1080p gaming, as it'll put a serious strain on your GPU, but I think League could be an exception.

And since League is the only thing you play, there's not much point to upgrading your CPU, GPU, etc.

If your GPU is really too loud, use something like MSI Afterburner to have a hybrid fan GPU. You could also get some nice case fans and make everything quiet

Shit, Link broke! Just a nice 1080p monitor, I'd go 24 in, preferably IPS

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

I put some foam under the GPU fan and that helped a tiny bit but it's still the loudest thing. The fan's minimum speed is 40% and it goes to about 50% in games so I can't really make that card any quieter. I would get a 960 so it could be mostly passively cooled and I dont need a 970 for more than $100 more. The reason I wouldn't get a 280x or similar is that they can't be passively cooled like maxwells.
