PC freeze during specific game

Whats up guys,

 

So my pc freezes during Wargame red dragon and only during Wargame red dragon. Ive tried lowering the settings but that doesnt really help either. I've notice that my cpu usage seems to skyrocket for some reason during the game which should be happening bc my pc isn't awful. This is an alt build so its all mini itx for portability.

It could be anything. Try to change the PSU. My PC had also the issue but only on chrome and after changing the psu it worked fine. Try changing every part to an older one to look what works and what not. Windows 8.1 should not be your problem but maybe look if you have crap installed that you don't need. If you have overclocks setted than remove them first and look if it is better.

Yea as you say Kron, my thinking at this point is that for some reason the game is basically maxing out the CPU and causing it to overheat regardless of the games graphics settings. I have a noctura fan on there and have checked seating and thermal paste for any errors with installation but all good. What ever the issue is I'm nearly sure it has something to do with the way the last patch installed through steam on my machine bc that is the first time I noticed it happening.
