EVGA 570 for $80?

So I was thinking about building a 2nd rig for my dad. He plays mostly older games as well as MMO's (ESO, D&D Online, Star Wars The Old Republic, Baldurs Gate II, that sort of stuff). Would this be a decent choice? http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=012-P3-1577-RX

Its decent. It has good performance for the price, but won't have new features. It is also fermi, so it will be pretty hot and loud.

You can regularly get on ebay for $60 ish. I'd spend a bit more on a newer card. 600 series or newer, or HD7000 series. 

 

Even a 750ti would be better I'd think.

just for some perspective, I got my GTX 580 for $95. Wouldn't go for it at the price :P

Absolutely, 100% you buy it.  For $80, a brand new card, straight from EVGA, its unbeatable.  For $100, you can get the 670, which is another insanely good card for cheap.

 

$80 for the 580

or

$100 for the 670

 

Get either and be happy!
