Trying to upgrade a pc

Go to solution Solved by TheSLSAMG,

So a Gtx 750ti will help¿

The psi express slot is 2.0 version

PCI-e slot revision doesn't matter much here. A GTX 750 Ti will help your friend's gaming experience, though the limitation of the system will become the CPU instead of the GPU. They will be able to play games, but upgrading this PC isn't the best choice.

To OP, there's some choice now but depending on how much your friend can spend, I would recommend trying a new PC all together. If your friend doesn't have the means to do so, maybe pick up a 2GB DIMM and a GTX 750 Ti. It should run a lot of games fine at medium to high settings at 1080p, though there will be a CPU bottleneck.
