280x Performance?

I'm thinking about getting a 280x, what is the performance like on these? Power consumption and heat aren't a huge deal to me, as I've heard these AMD cards can have those problems. Also, will it still run well if I have an Intel Processor? I have also heard AMD and Intel don't work well together. The most powerful game I'd be running would be GTA 5 or Witcher 3. What kind of performance could I get on high-ultra?

I can get about 50fps at 1440p in gta 5, it stays mostly at the low 40s. Can't say for witcher 3 though.

Intel and AMD run fine together. The 280x can run both of those games on high ultra mix and hit 60, assuming you don't turn on settings like AA. This is my estimation though, YouTube is probably your best bet for specific benchmarks.

The R9 280x is considered the sweetspot for 1080p gaming right now. Max settings at 1080p in glourious 60 FPS. Just don't go crazy with AA and it should be great.

I own MSI R9 280X and i can say that it runs hot, in games like Thief it can go up to 79C (Max settings), But in BF3 only 66C lol

Oh right.. :lol:   Everything on the highest, no msaa, no advanced graphics.

That's a fairly average temperature, not hot.
