computer not starting

I have just built mY computer and it was running great last night but this morning I tried to start it but it just flashed the leds and the fans sound a tiny bit and wouldn't do anything more. the psu emitted one long beep and to try to start it again I would have to turn the whole thing of with the on off switch on the psu does anyone have any ideas or should a have a professional look at it

sounds like a motherboard error but not sure...
