PC Gaming For YouTube

I posted this on the PC Gaming section and got told to post it here. I post it here and I get told to stop reposting. I got suggested this website by someone who said this site was useful. I think he was wrong. All it is is basement bound nerds who don't care about your needs unless you play games on the PC. All I asked was for a bit of help. Only 2/3 people have which I'm grateful for. The rest are just being idiots.

Doesn't matter were you post this type of question or any question for that fact, you will always receive unwelcomed remarks. Be thicker skinned bud.

  • 4 weeks later...

One is a smaller card, and will have worse cooling

Back again. I have a new problem. Basically I didn't get paid as much as I thought, therefor I can't get that PC. However here's a new build that's a little cheaper that I was thinking about getting. Thoughts?

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Six Cores

Motherboard: MSI H97 PC MATE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Memory: HyperX Fury Mémoire RAM 8 Go 1600 MHZ DDR3 Non-ECC CL10 DIMM Kit (2X4Go), Noir HX316C10FBK2/8X

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB Video Card

Case: Advance Evo -

Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE Lecteurs - Graveurs CD/DVD Graveur de DVD R / DVD -RW 48, 4, 24, 8

Monitor: Samsung S22D300HY PC Screen TN 21,5" (54,61 cm) 1920 x 1080 pixels 5 milliseconds VGA/HDMI -

So just to recap my needs for the PC. I want to start a YouTube Channel and only record Xbox One games with the Elgato Game Capture device. Which obviously will have to be recorded from the PC (So the footage can't lag when I'm recording at 1080p). Also will be editing/rendering a lot (Pretty sure I need a processor with 6 or more cores for that). The only games on PC that I will be playing and recording at the same time are Indie games such as Slender, Five Night's at Freddy's etc. Also website games such as Agar.io. Will also be streaming from time to time. Is that build above good? Budget now 600€ excluding Monitor.

I would go I3 or i5 if the i5 fits your budget, trust me AMD CPU is really bad for gaming or single threaded operation. The extra core didnt effect the rendering speed, i have laptop with i5 which render faster or same at times.

Build looks fine, wrong motherboard though, thats an intel board! if

if you can get the cheapest intel board h81 and a locked i5, that might be a better option overall , might be possible inside your budget

Change of plan (again) Decided to back out this month and buy it next month (Should have between €1000-€1100). So here's the new and hopefully final build:

*Case is going to be the Advance Evo. Chose Corsair 200R because I couldn't find the other case.

Was thinking about a 970 but I won't be playing/recording hardly any PC games though. So I thought it would be kinda pointless. Do I need a Corsair H75 Water Cooler for the i5-4690k? Also will the ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard be good enough?

What will you be recording

the H75 is shit, you want an h100i if you want a  decent water cooler - or just stick to an air cooler (dark rock pro 3 maybe)

If you get the 4690k you want the Z97 board you had before

No disc games. Just games like Agar.io, Five Night's at Freddy's, Slender etc.

What about the H80i? Is that good?

Ah so you arent interested in the bigger stuff

Single rads are not better than air coolers, just get a normal air cooler, it will perform better and be more reliable

Ok so I don't have waste €100 on a water cooler.

I just found out that I can get a Gigabyte Z78X-Gaming 1 Intel LGA1150 ATX Motherboard for €131,53!! It's from Amazon.fr. There's nothing wrong with the product it is just repackaged. I'm guessing that changes everything now, huh?

If you get a locked i5 like an i5 4460 then you can get a cheaper h97 board or maybe an h81 board etc (might need a BIOS update)
