Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

have you tested everything before? it may be your PSU, if you have another one laying around, use it to test the rest of the components

My psu is brand new and the rig started from the begginging but i shut it down and now it wont start (never got into os or anything)

i5 4690 gigabyte z98x sli cx750m

Not meaning to be rude, but if you cannot be asked to put spaces in your text, at least put points and preferably correct names. Gigabye Z98x SLI doesn't exist :P

This is going to seem patronizing but did you make sure the switch on the back of the power supply is in the on position? Every time I work on a computer I always forget to flip that sucker before I try to boot it.

I'll be honest, when I installed my CPU cooler the other day I did this exact thing.

yes it is

then it is probably a bad psu, if nothing powers on it is either the power supply or the motherboard is toast. if you have another psu or can borrow one you can find out which one it is.
