Vertical tear on main monitor when my tv is connected

Whenever i plug mt tv into my video card (MSI gtx 970) the picture comes up clear and just fine on the tv, but on my main monitor i will have vertical tear while playing games, watching youtube, etc... The tv is connected via VGA cable with an adapter. The monitor is using a DVI cable. Can anyone help?

Just kidding, but when gaming is this with both Vsync on and off. TV's tend to have a much longer input lag than monitors, that could be affecting it, additionally, depending on the resolution of the TV and monitor, you may be maxing out the 970s Memory, which is usually responsible for large screen artifacts.

The tv dosnt have the tear, its just my monitor. And it dosnt matter is vsync is on it still does it
