I'm upgrading my GPU to a GTX 970, I want to know what one to get I was thinking a small form factor one so there wont be any issues due to the ram lots possibly interfering with anything larger than my GTX 750ti. 500w is plenty for the 970 correct (my pc specs are on my page)

The itx version of the 970 by Gigabyte, to make sure it fits (Even tho a full size would probably fit too...)

are there any disadvantages to getting a smaller one? my guess is worse cooling performance?

According to a quick google search it's downclocked 3%, has smaller OC headroom, and is cherry picked to be cooler and consume less power.

RAM Slots aren't going to interfere with the GPU... Not with that motherboard anyway. If your case accommodates the length, you don't need a small form factor card. Get the G1 Gaming from Gigabyte, i have one myself. Don't get the G1 itx.

so the g1 wont be any louder then my gta 750ti? this is the right one? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn970wf3oc4gd

Pretty much no GPU will interfere with Ram Slots since they all hang down.

No, that's the Windforce. Although I'm not sure of the differences, or if they use a different cooler, this is the G1: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn970g1gaming4gd

EDIT: The G1 has a slightly higher clock speed, although i think the cooler might be the same.
