What 7870 do you have? Are you not satisfied with the current temps or noise?

i am new to gpu overclocking and i was wondering if i should invest in a aftermarket fan for it like the 

Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme for better overclocking or no?   btw my gpu is a Radeon 7870

It's an excellent cooler, but I wouldn't say it'd be worth the investment for just overclocking. More of to make your card run cooler, run quieter, and look nicer.

 

The Xtreme isn't worth it for a 7870 though.
