Ask a gay guy :)

Are you a muscular guy?

Not particularly. Not chubby but not cut. Somewhere in the middle. :)

What are your thoughts on the Westboro Baptist Church?

Aside from picketing people's funerals and indoctrinating children, I have no problem with them. They can preach their hate all they want, at the end of the day nobody listens to them anyway.

Tell me what you think about this,

I think the arguments that gays use is based on bad logic. Anti-gay arguments use really bad logic too, but I support gays so I will help their side. I took a logic class last year and my professor wasn't gay, but... he was gay... probably. He was the one who put forth some of these problems with pro-gay arguments.

Anyways, here is some stuff we brought up in class.

When people say "It is a choice and it is immoral," gays tend to come back with, "It's not a choice, I can't help who I am."

Well shit, that sounds kind of creepy if you think about it. It makes it sound like you have a mental illness when you say that you can't help it. I have bipolar disorder, I can't help it that I have bipolar disorder. You can't help that you are gay. See what I mean? It just sounds like a bad argument. It also makes it seem like if you had the choice, you would follow the "correct" path of life and not be gay. It is kind of like you are admitting that gayness is undesirable.

When you say "I was born this way," that is a bad argument I think. Some people say that pedophiles are "just born this way." But is it ok to be a pedophile or a murderer? I am not comparing a pedophile to a gay person so before you guys attack me, I am just talking about the logic used. Logic in support of gays can be the same TYPE of logic used to support pedophiles.

Simply being born a certain way does not make it a morally ok thing to do. That is why society gives therapy to people with pedophile urges.

I think a better argument is when someone says it's a choice, to respond with, "So? So what if it's a choice? Then I choose to be gay. I am ok choosing to be gay. I think gay is just the tops."

That will take the wind out of their sails. Super anti-gay people want you to fight them based on whether or not it's a choice. When you say "It's not a choice, it's biological!" then they have a whole set of 'tard arguments already prepared. If you concede that it's a choice, then they will be caught off guard.

Even though it is not a choice, you will be using their own logic against them.

The majority of people who make these sorts of anti-LGBT arguments almost always are religious (mainly christian). So basically I can't argue with someone who already has their mind made up, so what I do is tell them about all of the little tidbits in the Bible that they have never read or heard about. All of the ridiculous nonsense that is never preached and is swept under the rug. This is how I start the debate and it seems to shut a lot of people up.

true, but there are some people who want to use nature and say "2 dongs can make a baby"

to them I say "Nature just is, nature has no shoulds and shouldn'ts, nature is an ongoing process of what happens, not what life is ideally like."

Nature vs nurture argument always make me laugh. Homosexual behavior is present in over 2000 species so...yeah

That movie was sad :(

What's your favorite 'gay' movie (obviously porn doesn't count :P)

Mine would have to be I love you Phillip Morris or Brokeback Mountain.

I haven't watched any, not even Milk. There's no way that I was ever going to watch those movies before I came out, and since I've had sooo much on my mind that I never even thought watch any.

I just remember seeing the internet about a movie called Milk coming out, and I wondered what the hell it was about, so I watched the trailer. That scene has stuck in my head ever since. I might watch it tonight. Aside from the two you mentioned above, what are some other great ones?

Personally I really liked "A Liar's Autobiography". It's the story behind the late Graham Chapman, as only the other Pythons would tell it. It may not be much about homosexuality, but it is about a homoexual man, and about how he came out to himself and his surroundings.

There's a definitively positive affect of having homosexual members in your species.

Its a biological advent, and probably has something to do with socially intelligent animals.

I have a few more questions I wanted to ask hope you don't mind...

Does Gaydar really exist?

If yes do you have Gaydar?

Guys tend to get along very well other guys and unlike girls tend to stay the same way for years together even if they have fights etc... You being a guy and in a relationship with another guy, does this dynamic change into more of a relationship way or does it stay the same? Sorry I could not frame that sentence perfectly, hopefully you get what I mean...

Are gays really a Straight girl's best friend or does that depend on the person?

Yes.

Yes.

Not sure what you're asking, so I'll leave this one.

Depends on the person.

I don't think any gay man would choose the hot girl, that's what makes us gay.

So I heard most gay men are like 6ft+ tall and well built Is that supposed to be true like urself for example or is that a stereotype impression I have

Complete myth. I'm about 5ft 8/9inches and overweight.

Gaydar sort of exists, it's more effective the closer you are to a person. I have had a lot of 'straight' friends who eventually tell me they're Bi, but I had already sort of figured it out by body language and some other things.

Gaydar can be deceiving because it is (for most people) dependent on how the other person acts. I have met gay guys that don't 'act' gay. So it sort of exists I suppose, it just depends.

I have had friendships with straight guys that I wish were more than a friendship, it's actually difficult at times. But that doesn't mean that I want to fuck every guy I come into contact with. But in my relationship, we have our strengths and weaknesses but we compliment each other in a lot of areas. I'ts just like any other relationship I suppose :)

There is a term for a straight girl that has all of the gay guy friends, 'Fag hag' but that is both true and a stereotype at the same time. I mean girls don't feel threatened by a gay man, it's easy to talk about relationships, and guys are awesome so what's not to like :)
