Ghetto - Thermal Paste Removal?

The other day i was Getting off the Thermal paste off all my Old CPU (AMD A10 6800K) i had no isopropyl alcohol so i just cracked open a bottle of Jim Beam, put some on paper towel and it came right off and cleaned well

 

Would you reccoment i use isopropyl alcohol to clean it later on before i use the CPU  n my HTPC i'm building

Every time I remove thermal paste I use WD-40 to remove the grease and then Johnny Walker blue label Whisky to clean the chip of residue. Works every time never an issue

You can use rubbing alcohol from a napkin as well, just be careful not to spill.

Na mate it's just like isopropyl. It just evaporates off leaving no trace, as long as it's a high alcohol content (40-60 %)

I've used Barbasol aftershave before!  I just dipped a Q-tip into the bottle, it worked like a charm. :lol:

i stuck thhe pins into my skin and put a cpu cooler in to my arm, it still runs

Make sure you wrap it around your dick. If it wont bend heat it up and stab the pins into your dick.
