Hi everyone,

 

I`m looking for a display- preferably 24" full HD. Should be IPS as I want accurate color reproduction (8 bit panel). I was thinking about Dell U2415H, what do you guys think? I like that it has a vesa mount and that it is factory calibrated. Any other options for that price (~300$)?

u2415H is 16:10, so if you want that go for it.

You mean the U2415? It's a good monitor. It's 1920x1200, so slightly taller than 1080p (full HD).

Ive got the 25" 1440p version of that monitor and its been real nice so far, although the only point of reference i have is to my old 1080p 144hz monitor which did not have the best colors.

 What about text size? I`ve heard that it`s too small at native. And how does the 1080p content look, is it decent sharp or blurry mess? I was considering paying extra for the U2515H for that 1440p.

Yeah I was also worried about that as I only knew the text size for 1440p 27", but for the distance i view the screen from, no text scaling is required to see things clearly (I do sit a bit closer to the monitor than most people, at like 40cm away from it).

 

Also scaling was enabled by default and the text scaling looked garbage in many apps like winrar, so I turned it off, and the text was not that much smaller/ any harder to read.

It has a brilliant price, that is a fact. However, the ports are located in a terrible position for wall mounting, as I don`t want to do any L-type cables.

Since you already brought up the U2415, why not consider U2414H?

this is so close to the 29" 21:9 monitor league in terms of price... ahh
