Don't you notice that? Don't you notice when people are talking, oftentimes they recommend something to another person or say to check something out.

Then the response is 'I'll check it out', and the response isn't given as in 'sure, I will take a look at it' but more of a means to end the conversation.

I really notice this a lot under all people.

Sure, there are a great many things to 'check out' and we don't have time for it all.

Yet at least say something honest like 'nah, not interested'.

Just my rant of today.

I hate it when you recommend stuff to people - and zero fucks given - and then a few months later they "discover" it themselves and are all over it

Cuz not all suggestions are good and some people wont shut up unless you give them "credit" for their support.

Saying that you will look into it just removes the hassel of dealing with people, it may not be nice but the same goes for stubborn people.

Oh that TV Show? Film? Anime? Game?  Suurreeee.

I mean to look at it, I promise. But 30 other people have already done there own recommendations and I've got all my own stuff of it aswell.

I lose track so easily.

 

Its not that I don't care, its just that I'm part of like societies and friend groups that talk about loads of that stuff, and when you get so many recommendations, you can't have the time to do it all.

 

If I actually seriously mean to, I'll pull out my phone and set a note somewhere (Google Keep, or pushbullet it to my PC).

Or if its like "Hey here is this link to X", then I will. But when its just mentioned in a conversation, Its hard to keep track of it all.

I will after work. I know what you mean. Happens to me a lot. I also hate it when people ask you for recommendations and then just completely ignore your advice and then ask someone else.

I'll say that all the the time.. If I don't know what they are talking about. 

 

Like ok, Here is a great example: I was shopping for a motherboard right? Ok so I didn't care what brand it was or whatever. When someone says "Oh you should check the ASUS X99-E WS because of its stability and long term liability" I would be like, "Sounds cool, i'll check it out." 

 

That doesn't mean I hate it, that means I've never seen the product and I'd love to see more from it because you recommended it to me. 

 

Now, if you are an asshole on the forums saying "I'll check it out" and you really hate it, you really need to go to some other forum.

I WILL say when I hate a product. Like gigabyte for example. If someone recommends me a Gigabyte product I will say no. I don't think little about gigabyte or their users but its user preference.
