Faster Searching in Big PDFs

How can I increase the speed , I need it to be lightning fast because I search on average for 300 terms daily and the difference between split second and 7 seconds is huge.
I moved my PDFs to ssd and that helped a bit but I am still not satisfied.

what can I do ?

P.S by Big I mean 1000+ PDFs

I'd recommend using something like PDF2Text (it's a Linux utility, unsure if there's a Windows port)

Would allow you to do something like:

pdf2text somefile.pdf | grep "Some string here"

Very fast searching.
