What is your Boinc/Folding Setup

What is the folding setup that you use?

 

Is it powerful, or is it just an old rig?

 

Does it stay cool? Or quiet?

 

I have a dual core AMD 3800+ and a 8400gs running F@H, and I have a HTC One (M7) a Nexus 7 2012 and a dell venue 3730 running boinc, just becuase I didn't use them.

5820k and Dual Titan X... I only fold on the GPUs though, the CPU gets ~38k a day, whereas the Titans get 750-950k PPD.

 

Edit: If the core17 gods shine down on me. Core15s get me somewhere between 150-250k.

The projects never end in my line of work.

Well... My grandma's A6-3650's CPU portion folds on idle. I randomly fold on my rig. My weekend rig is out of commision, but it will fold using the CPU when it gets done up, and I'm just now setting it up on my stepdad's old HP with an Athlon 64 X2 4600+, and it will fold full time when I am not using it.

Pentium G2120 paired with an R9 295x2. The motherboard was salvaged from an old build, so its a mix of old and new. I don't fold on the CPU, its pretty much just there as a host for the GPUs. I would say it's pretty powerful, it gets somewhere between 450-550K PPD depending on how cooperative the assignment servers are being (sometimes they just stop giving me any work units which kinda kills your PPD). It runs relatively cool, the GPUs hover around 64C, not bad for something running 24/7. In terms of noise, its quieter than the space heater we have sitting in the same room so I would consider it a win.

4690k and a 970 g1, only fold with gpu now temps are at 61c and i can sleep while they work, my rig is gaming and work 1st folding boink 2nd

I just fold on the chrome client because I'm lazy to get the thing properly set up, my chromebook and laptop (i7 3612QM) fold 24/7 unless I'm out and about. An old netbook I found BOINCs 24/7

I'm probably going to stop folding on everything besides the A8-5600K because I recently hit 1 mil points and don't have much to push towards.

Why not help scientists? It's not all about the points.
